Helen Schofield - The Artist

Thank you for your interest in my artwork. I have been drawing and painting now for as long as I can remember and although I now successfully sell a lot of my work it is still a joy to paint rather than a labour! I graduated from the University College of Ripon and York St.John about 5 years ago (where I studied art and design) and have since lived mainly in London (although now in the leafy outskirts of Richmond!). I worked for quite a while in the greeting card industry but now only produce artwork freelance. This has given me the scope to try out new ideas and choose my own direction. My recent 'graphic artwork' has probably been one of my most successful projects to date. It started as a one-off comission for a client but since then I have gained more commissions and sold a number of paintings. In fact I recommend to other artists to try and sell or at least exhibit in corporate offices or public buildings as the number of people who get to view your work is likely to be a lot higher than from a private purchase.

At the moment I'm expanding this collection and I've quite a few ideas and paintings in mind so please come back to my website which I will update at least every 2 weeks.
